About Jewel

A native Georgia peach, Jewel returned to the Atlanta area to work in the public relations industry over 10 years ago. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of Alabama and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University.

She is an expert on the best places to Eat, Drink, and Shop. For several years, her friends and family have always come to her for advice on things to do and places to see. The overwhelming response sparked the birth of her lifestyle blog in 2010. She recently rebranded her blog after almost a decade by changing the name to After Sunday Dinner.

Through her blog  Jewel has collaborated with several top tier Fortune 500 lifestyle and luxury brands like Free People, Kate Spade New York, Home Depot, Birchbox, Freeform, Tobi, American Eagle, AERIE, Progresso Soups, Smirnoff, Toyota, Teavana, Starbucks and Target.

Her work has been featured in top tier media outlets such as Better Homes and Gardens, Groupon.com, Shape, Women’s Health, PopSugar, Jezebel, Australian home magazine: Inside Out, Eater, CBS Morning Show and CNBC.

She also served as a brand ambassador for Women’s Health, Good Housekeeping ,Mind Body Fitness, Siggis Yogurt, and Glamour Magazine.

In addition to blogging, her first love is working as a public relations and digital marketing professional. Throughout the span of her career, Jewel has developed several successful public relations, influencer marketing, content marketing and social media campaigns for B2B and B2C clients in the food and beverage, travel and hospitality, financial, technology and non-profit industries. She has secured placements for clients in Southern Living, Garden and Gun, Atlanta Magazine, The AJC, The Birmingham News, The Huntsville Times, Our State, Jezebel, Associated Press, Flavor & The Menu, CSP, QSR, Nations Restaurant News, Food Management, Birmingham Magazine.

When she isn’t working or blogging, you can find her spending time serving in the Atlanta community. She is an active member of the Junior League of Atlanta and is a board member on the March Dimes Atlanta Young Professionals Board.
