I’m Obsessed: My August Favorites

How is August almost complete? This year has flown by so fast. I wanted to share with you a few things I’m obsessed with right now. From the new moisturizer to the book that I read in three days to the masterclass series I listened to recently on an airplane flight home. I hope to make this a monthly series if you all enjoy it. What I’ve brought 

It’s summer now and I’ve switched up my skincare routine. I’m now using IS Clinical’s Honey Cleanser and Moisturizing Complex. I’ve only been using it for four weeks and my skin has definitely had an upgrade. I love these products because they keep my dry skin hydrated and glowing. I also recently picked up SkinPharm’s Night Watch which is a non-irritating retinol that I use at night two times a week. 

I live in athleisure all day every day. I recently fell in love with the exercise dress. It’s so cute and comfortable to wear on morning walks in the neighborhood or for wearing to coffee with a friend. I recently purchased this athletic dress from MKT Clothing Co. Here’s a similar dress from Old Navy.

What I’m cooking

I cook at home five days a week. Lately, I’ve been focusing on budget-friendly meals using pantry staples. I fell in love with this Pasta Nerano recipe shown in Honeysuckle’s video. It’s quick and easy to make. I paired it with a protein and used Banza Chickpea Pasta.

What I’m reading 

During the past few weeks, I’ve been hooked on reading for pleasure. I’ve been traveling a lot for work and found that picking up a book is really therapeutic and calms my flight anxiety while on a plane. I’ve been trying to read one self-help and one non-fiction book at a time. I read Speak by Tunde Oyeneyin, the popular Peloton instructor during my flight to Cleveland last month. I also read Lessons in Chemistry during my flight to Chicago. I just finished Manifest Now this week when traveling to Nashville, it’s a great book about manifesting. 

What I’m Watching

I plan to publish a separate blog post about what I’ve been watching lately on TV but I had to tell you about the Masterclass series I watched on my flight to Boston. I have trouble sleeping straight through the night and wake up at least one time during the night. During my flight, I watched this Masterclass on sleep with Matthew Walker on how to sleep better. I learned so many tips on how to sleep through the night and how important a good night's sleep is for the body.
